Nasal Valve Repair

Dr. Bliznikas was the first ENT in the South Suburbs to offer the absorbable Latera implant for nasal valve collapse. The Latera implant is a small absorbable polymer implant placed  â€‹just under the skin on the sidewall of your nose to increase your nasal airway air flow. It's like a "breathe-right strip" on the inside. It's placed in a minimally invasive fashion and disolves in 18-24 months.

Inferior Turbinate Reduction

Inferior turbinate hypertrophy is a common finding in patients with symptoms of difficulty breathing through the nose and constant nasal congestion. We offer minimally invasive in-office treatment of inferior turbinate hypertrophy with Radiofrequency Reduction. Benefits of this treatment method:

  • can be performed in-office with local anesthesia.

  • leads to quick recovery after procedure.

  • potential monetary savings compere to hospital or surgical center treatment.

MINICAT scanner

Our clinic offers sinus and ear MINICAT imaging for instant review of your sinus or ear disease.  MiNICAT or Cone Beam Computerized Tomography is an X-ray technique that produces images of your body that visualize internal structures in cross section. MINICAT average dose of radiation is significantly lower than a traditional medical CT scanner used in the hospitals or imaging centers. MINICAT is open-style, upright CT scanner that creates fast, exceptional quality images of the sinuses and ears. Even claustrophobic patients have no problem to tolerate the scan. Because our MINICAT is in our office, your doctor can take your CT scan during your examination. The scan is available for review by you and your doctor within minutes.

Head and Neck Problems

Snoring is noisy breathing during sleep. It is a common problem among all ages and both genders, and it affects approximately 90 million American adults — 37 million on a regular basis. The two most common adverse health effects that are believed to be casually linked to snoring are daytime dysfunction and heart disease. About one-half of people who snore loudly have obstructive sleep apnea.

For selected patients we offer in-office surgical treatment which eliminates or reduces severity of snoring.

Dr. Bliznikas offers evaluation and treatment of acute and chronic ear infections, ear drum perforation, dizziness, and hearing loss. If surgical treatment required, it could be performed in office or in outpatient settings based on condition and problem diagnosed. We offer hearing restoration surgery such as tympanoplasty and/or ossicular chain reconstruction.

Our office offers evaluation and medical or surgical treatment of thyroid problems, salivary gland tumors, head and neck cancer. Surgical treatment provided with state of art nerve monitoring devices to minimize head and neck vital structure’s injury and possible postoperative complications.
